Mozza Mia and New Give Away Winner

This past weekend, I went on a lovely "date" with my pal Lindsay, you may remember me mentioning her a few weeks back, as she helped do my hair and makeup for Ben's work Holiday party. I LOVE getting together with her. We started our night going to a new restaurant in Edina, Mozza Mia; the restaurant's specialty is their house made mozzarella. Of course, I forgot to take many pictures, but we had a a couple of drinks, and started with the Mozzarella Caprese.

The mozzarella was good, but nothing to write home about. I'm not a huge tomato fan, so I just had the mozz, with bread and basil.

Also, everyone who worked there, tried saying the words with the actual correct Italian dialects, like "Mozz-ooo-relllla," and it just sounded weird and overdone, like they were trying to seem like a bigger deal.

For our entree, we had the Fresca pizza, which is described as: Fresh mozzarella, arugula, pear tomato, cremoso cheese, balsamic. Since I don't like arugula, we asked for the pizza without it, and the waitress was in a tither. She didn't know "how they could make it without it," so then we said, OK, just half with arugula. Roughly 60 minutes later (no lie, one hour) our pizza arrived, after the waitress informed us after 40 minutes of waiting that they had messed up our order in the kitchen. After seeing the pizza (man, I wish I would have taken a picture!) neither Lindsay nor I were sure how they couldn't comprehend making it without arugula, it was just placed on top.

All in all, it was good food and drink, nothing that was amazing, and I wouldn't pay the $10 for that tiny Bellini again, but if someone said, "hey, let's go there," I would go, but I won't go back on my own accord.

After dinner, we went to the local cheap seats theater to see "Morning Glory," having worked in the television news business, I found it really funny! I think others would like it as well, you just may not get the little inside things that get mentioned.

Also, the winner for the Lemon Pepper Panko Bread Crumbs never contacted me on time, so the new winner is Leashieloo! Be sure to leave a comment with your e-mail and we'll get in touch!
